Vision Nottingham

Nightclub at MIPIM

The Nottingham Nightclub has become a regular fixture on the MIPIM calendar and is often the first event entered in any delegate's diary.
Working alongside Vision Nottingham and its private sector partners,
RE:EVENTS was tasked with injecting some new ideas into the event for 2008.

RE:EVENTS focussed on creating a prestigious VIP club environment, using the letter N as a theme - a styled letter N was projected onto the roof of the marquee and the theme was continued inside where plasma screens featuring a rotating letter N were placed around the room, in addition large branded canvas backdrops where produced for behind the stage area.

RE:EVENTS built a feature archway at the entrance and decorated the reception with pink balloons and uplit flower displays. Guests entered the main area through a black walkway where they were met by the client. Within the marquee a large circular bar, above which a one metre disco ball was suspended, provided the centrepiece of the room. This was surrounded by informal seating areas and a dancefloor.

On stage, local band Reservoir Dogs collaborated with the DJ to entertain guests with an eclectic mix of live and dance music, while hi-tec lighting created a visual impact and an energetic atmosphere. The event proved a huge success, exceeding targets and expectations, and RE:EVENTS has been contracted to manage Nottingham's presence at MIPIM 2009.
