MIPIM Project Management


MIPIM 2008 saw Liverpool City Council and its commercial partners
take on its most comprehensive programme to date, involving a sizeable exhibition stand, a luxury yacht moored in a prominent position in the marina and several off-site events in Cannes.

RE:EVENTS was contracted toundertake the full project management for MIPIM 2008 including liaising with Liverpools commercial partners, registering over 100 delegates, administering flights and airport transfers and managing their events programme. Following a series of meetings with Liverpool and its partners, RE Events design team created a bespoke online events management system which enabled each partner to register their delegates, arrange airport transfers, book slots on the stand or the yacht and register guests at all off-site events. Once complete, this information was used to prepare a comprehensive schedule to ensure that all delegates were made aware of events and timings.

RE:EVENTS also organised and managed a gala dinner for more than 100 people and a street party for over 1400 people. The latter involved liaising with the mayoral office to obtain all relevant permits, sourcing a suitable venue, the design and installation of branding and graphics, exterior lighting and decor, the supply of security, sourcing and chaperoning the entertainment - Connie Lush and The Mersey Beatles - for who we managed to secure a prominent spot on the balcony opposite the Palais des Festival in order to promote Liverpool's presence at MIPIM.
